Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 24 months of Cardiac Cath experience and IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes Coronary PCI and Structural Heart cases
• Utilizes Impella, IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump), and Penumbra equipment
• Days shift, 4x9 hour shifts starting at 0700, 36 hrs/week
• On-call requirement of 10 to 12 call shifts per month, including every 3rd weekend
• EPIC Cupid EMR experience highly preferred

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath/CCL experience required
• Experience with Coronary PCI and Structural Heart patient types required
• Equipment experience with Impella, IABP, and Penumbra required
• Experience with vasopressor and vasodilator administration required
• Experience with glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors required
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within the Cardiac Cath Lab, supporting coronary and structural heart procedures
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible if they have worked at any UPH facility within the past 12 months
