Job Title

RN – Labor & Delivery (Acute)

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 12-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in an acute hospital setting, including high-risk obstetric cases involving diabetic and complex patient populations
• Manage LDR, triage, pre-op, OR, and PACU care areas within the Women's Services department
• Follow AWHONN staffing standards, maintaining 1:1 patient ratios for patients 6cm or greater dilated or on magnesium or insulin drips, and 1:2 ratios for all other patients
• Accompany and provide continuous care for scheduled C-Section patients through the full care episode until sign-off
• Perform fetal surveillance monitoring using OBIX and document patient care using Meditech (PCS and ORM modules)
• Administer medications via Pyxis and manage IV therapy using Solaris IV pumps

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications issued through the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic health record system (PCS and ORM modules)
• Familiarity with OBIX fetal surveillance systems
• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients, including those requiring magnesium or insulin drips
