Quality Inspector

Quality InspectorCPV is growing and we are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector familiar with a manufacturing setting. This position inspects materials and products from outside vendors and internal manufacturing shop such as machine shop parts, metal forgings and castings, bar stock, and other assembly parts for conformance to drawing and/or purchase order specifications. Inspects assembled products and picked orders and approves for shipment to customers. Come join our team, where you will be working in a safe, temperature controlled environment. Benefits include major medical, dental, vision, as well as matching 401k, plus short-term disability and life insurance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Examines material, part or assembly for workmanship and visual defectsVerifies specified dimensions of product or materialCompares product with parts list to ensure completion of assemblyRejects defective parts, and records type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tagKeeps legible and complete inspection records per inspection work instructionsSupports and actively participates, as needed, in customer and regulatory audits/inspectionsIs familiar with ISO 9001 requirements and works within the related company specific workflow instructionsConduct Roving, First Piece, and Final InspectionsQualifications:High School Diploma or GED3+ years of related job experienceProficient in the use of tools experience with calipers, gages, micrometers, and comparatorsProgramming and ability to operate CMM (preferred)Demonstrates attention to detailDemonstrates accuracy and thoroughnessResponds to requests for service and assistanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGenerates suggestions for improving workUses time efficiently and completes work in timely mannerAdapts to changes in the work environmentGathers and analyzes information skillfullySpeaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situationsObserves safety and security proceduresPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:Regularly required to standOccasionally required to lift weights (up to 50 lbs)Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focusBenefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceGenerous PTO plan and paid holidaysComprehensive medical and dental packageCompany-provided life insurance and short-term disability401k match up to 6%
