Registered Nurse - Days

Job Overview We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work a shift from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, three days per week, with shift differential. The RN will assess, coordinate, and evaluate patient care as part of a collaborative health team, following the nursing process and standards of care. Responsibilities Document patient information and nursing care in accordance with nursing services. Document and reassess significant changes in the patient’s condition in compliance with facility policy. Report signs or symptoms of infection to the Infection Control Nurse. Verify the accuracy of patient records. Use communication, interviewing, problem‑solving, and crisis‑intervention skills during psychotherapeutic interventions. Apply psychiatric and medical nursing procedures and follow the plan of care. Use facility‑approved CPI techniques as necessary. Administer medication accurately and timely to patients. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; graduate from an accredited nursing program required. Currently licensed to practice as an RN by the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Minimum three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred. Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification required. Successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior including restraint and seclusion policies within 90 days of employment, prior to assisting in restraint procedures.
