CE Driver

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a CE Powder Tanker Driver to join our Breedon Cement team in Aldridge, WS9 8XT. GXO operates on behalf of Breedon Cement to provide transport for both bulk powder and palletised deliveries. The role of the tanker driver requires the loading and pressurised discharge of powder products – predominantly cement. This is a full‑time, permanent position, working on a Monday to Friday pattern, starting between 04:00 – 06:00 , paid minimum 48 hours per week. Pay, benefits and more: An hourly rate of £16.56 paid monthly £43,056.00 per annum (based on 50 hours per week) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Access to the Hapi App platform, offering discounts, a cycle‑to‑work scheme, cashback cards, a savings scheme and more Opportunities for career development and progression, training enrichment and multiskilling in a dynamic environment What you’ll do on a typical day: Be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of customers’ products, servicing the Construction sector Ensure that deliveries are on time and that health and safety procedures are followed to a high standard Conduct vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness and compliance Complete all required documentation and delivery records accurately Act as required, be contracted to 2 nights out per week What you need to succeed at GXO: Valid Category CE (Class 1) UK driving licence Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Previous experience operating bulk powder tankers preferred; full training will be provided Excellent customer service skills with a strong understanding of health and safety procedures Must be fully flexible on working hours GXO is an equal‑opportunity employer.
