Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Access Desk in Orlando, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location where you will serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, helping to support access management, visitor screening, and other security-related duties. In this people-first role, you will provide outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, and innovative, and always acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific front desk procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor lobby and reception area activity, verify visitor and vendor access in accordance with location protocols, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff and first responders when appropriate.
• Maintain a professional front desk presence by answering questions, directing foot traffic, documenting security-related events, and reporting unusual activity to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Hospital vaccines are required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
