The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering and significant supervisory experience in the manufacturing sector. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will play a key role in overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting the production team to meet our quality and production goals.Assistant Maintenance Manager Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and protocols to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.Identify and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.Assist in developing and managing the maintenance department budget, including cost control measures and expenditure tracking.Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.Collaborate with other departments, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to achieve overall business objectives.Assistant Maintenance Manager QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metals industry.Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, industrial controls, and mechanical equipment.Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.Proven track record in developing and implementing maintenance programs and strategies.Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in maintenance management.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with it.
