Junior Project Manager

Ross Construction Management (RCM) supports Orange County-based reconstruction projects with a focus on organization, professional communication, project coordination, and client service. The Junior Project Manager will work directly under the Orange County Project Manager and assist with HOA reconstruction projects throughout the region while learning RCM’s approach to client communication, documentation, and project coordination. Position Summary RCM is hiring a Junior Project Manager to support its Orange County-based reconstruction portfolio. This entry-level role is designed for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and looking to grow into a full Project Manager position. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, adaptable, quick to learn and implement new skills, able to anticipate next steps, and comfortable interacting with clients and contractors. RCM is a small, fast-paced team looking for someone who wants to build a construction management career with the company. Training will be conducted out of RCM’s Orange County office in Tustin. During the training period, the Junior Project Manager may also attend select client lunches and marketing events with RCM’s Director of Development to gain exposure to relationship-building and industry communication practices. Key Responsibilities Project Management Attend job walks, assist with contractor coordination, and document site progress Track project milestones, assist with scheduling, and maintain BuilderTrend documentation Prepare and organize job site photos, documents, reports, and punch lists Provide general project support and assist with client follow-up and scheduling Client & Stakeholder Communication Draft project communication materials, including community notices, resident packets, project updates, and related client-facing documentation Support weekly site reports and communicate updates to property managers Sit in on HOA meetings and client Zooms to learn project coordination and client interaction Develop clear, organized communication habits for client, contractor, resident, and internal project updates Relationship Building & Company Representation Join occasional marketing lunches and industry events with RCM leadership Attend select client lunches and marketing events with RCM’s Director of Development during the training period Represent RCM professionally in job site, office, client meeting, HOA, and industry settings Project Support & Follow-Through Assist with project documentation, scheduling, reports, punch lists, and follow-up items Maintain organized project records and support consistent communication through project completion Qualifications Required Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset Reliable, punctual, professional, and adaptable in all settings, including job sites, the office, and client meetings Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust as new tasks are assigned Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as OneDrive Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and auto insurance for site visits Ability to travel up to 60%, primarily to Orange County job sites Proficiency in English for oral and written communication Preferred Pursuing or holding an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree 1–2 years of experience in a professional office, construction, or administrative support role Prior exposure to construction projects, job sites, or client-facing communication Familiarity with BuilderTrend Spanish-speaking ability Desired Skills Client-focused communication and follow-through Organization, attention to detail, and proactive planning Schedule coordination and project milestone tracking Comfort learning through HOA meetings, client Zooms, job walks, and contractor coordination Ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced, team-based environment Fast-paced, team-based environment Typical office environment with low to moderate noise exposure Typical job site environment with moderate to high noise exposure Business casual attire required in office and field settings Frequent travel to Orange County job sites Occasional attendance at marketing events or trade function Ross Construction Management (RCM) is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Ross Construction Management
