Retail Staff Pharmacist in Knox, IN

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacist position is available to provide essential pharmaceutical services within a community pharmacy setting. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy in order processing, and strict adherence to security protocols.

Location: Knox, IN (Winamac area)

Position Type: Contract, with ongoing coverage starting June 29th until a permanent hire is selected
Schedule:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Every other Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Three days of training/orientation required prior to starting

Responsibilities:

Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions
Verify technician-prepared products before release to ensure safety and compliance
Maintain security of the pharmacy and controlled substances
Enter orders and patient information accurately into the system
Uphold professional and regulatory standards within the retail pharmacy environment

Desired Experience and Skills:

Active Indiana pharmacist license
Retail pharmacy experience required
Familiarity with PioneerRx order entry system preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Excellent communication and organizational skills
