Job Description Summary: The Project Management Specialist supports the Project Director in planning and executing contracts for the design and construction of new nuclear power plants, managing quality, cost, and schedule, and handling project administration and configuration management of documentation. Responsibilities Be responsible for on-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources Assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of kickoff meetings Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities Support the development & issuance of the Project Management Plan and related project plans and procedures; promote implementation of project plans and procedures across the larger project team Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project tools Ensure compliance with U.S. government requirements as applicable Support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with the Project Configuration Management Plan Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports Other relevant duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience working on projects Strong oral and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.) Demonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project execution Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other STEM discipline Fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs Knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment Demonstrated ability supporting project budget, schedule, and quality objectives Financial control knowledge and understanding Demonstrated professional interpersonal and leadership skills, including high level of motivation, integrity, and self-confidence Ability to take initiative and to work independently Ability to influence others Extreme attention to detail, follow up, highly organized Demonstrated ability to balance workload under short deadlines and changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems Strong process orientation in approach to work Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Location and Work Authorization The preferred work location for this role is at the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) Headquarters Wilmington, NC but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered. This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export‑controlled information from the U.S. Government.
