Per Diem Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Responsibilities The DSP will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community setting. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities such as household chores, meal preparation, recreational activities, learning activities, and physical fitness activities. The DSP represents the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served and provides input on program planning and implementation. Transportation to community activities may be required, using a company vehicle or a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement as applicable. Position Details Pay: $18.00-$19.20 per hour, based on education and experience Hours: Per Diem, between the hours of M-F 9a-3p Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting strongly preferred. Basic computer skills, experience using therapy software a plus! Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion and dedication for helping others. High School Diploma or GED required. Valid US driver’s license and auto insurance required, with at least 3 years of driving experience. Access to reliable transportation is required, and some positions may require the use of a personal vehicle to transport supported individuals.
