Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Frankfort, KY where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Kentucky state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a hospital setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NRP preferred but not required. If NRP is not held, onsite training may be provided.
• Experience with arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis.
• Familiarity with ventilators and noninvasive ventilation equipment, including Hamilton C-1, Avea ventilators, and BiPAP/Aerogen devices preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• NICU experience preferred.
• Experience using Meditech/Meditec documentation systems preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Night shift scheduling with a 4-week self-scheduling system; every other weekend required.
• Unit equipment includes Hamilton C-1, Avea ventilators, BiPAP and Aerogen devices.
• Level 2 NICU experience is a plus; training and mentoring available for clinicians willing to learn NICU skills.
