Ultrasound Vascular Tech Part-Time

Part-Time (Every other weekend 8a-6p; other shifts as needed)

Scope of Responsibility

The Ultrasound Vascular Tech is also responsible for instructing patient regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results. The technician will also follow the prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.

Responsible to the Executive Director of Imaging Services and Imaging Supervisor

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program or an accredited radiologic Technology program that included cross training in ultrasound required

Training and Experience

• Must have RDMS certification in one or more of the following areas; Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast or Sonography (ARRT (S)).
• Must have additional vascular registry in one or more of the following areas; ARRT (VS), CCI (RVS); and ARDMS (RVT).
• Must obtain and maintain current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
• Must have minimum two years of experience as a sonographer, and proficiency at all general studies.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
