Tech 2, Maintenance - Night shift

Position Overview The Technician 2, Maintenance is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of process related systems/equipment. Ensure these systems meet the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Also responsible for conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance on process related equipment to ensure equipment is operating efficiently with minimal downtime. This role is for Night shift (2-2-3). Company Overview FUJIFILM Biotechnologies is building the future of bioproduction in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Job Description Night shift 2-2-3 from 6PM to 6:30AM. What You’ll Do Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on process equipment, such as bioreactors, centrifuges, ultrafiltration skids, parts washers, autoclaves, isolators, and fillers. Provide recommendations to develop preventative maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime. Contribute to Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) development and revisions for process maintenance related activities. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Follow SOPs to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) quality standards. Adhere to all safety requirements and follow safe work practices. Notify management or Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are found. Attend all required safety and health training. Support site operations and emergency work orders during off‑hours, as needed. Perform spare parts assessments, as required. Perform other duties, as assigned. Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Knowledge of GMP requirements. Effective communication, both written and oral. Ability to work in a team environment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Detail oriented, and good problem‑solving and time‑management skills. Ability to train others. Must be able to support 24/7 manufacturing facility, including shift, on‑call and weekends. Required Skills High School Diploma or GED. 2–4 years of maintenance experience. Preferred Skills Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Prior maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing environment. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Working Conditions & Physical Requirements May require respiratory protection. May require hearing protection and enrollment in a hearing conservation program. May require operating a motor vehicle or powered industrial truck. Ability to discern audible cues. Ability to inspect or perform a task with 20/20 corrected vision, including color discrimination. Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, etc. Ability to stand for up to 60 minutes. Ability to sit for up to 60 minutes. Ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Ability to operate machinery and/or power tools. Ability to move objects up to 10–50 pounds. Ability to bend, push or pull, reach materials from 18" to 60" in height, and use twisting motions.
