Behavioral Health ER Registered Nurse
Join our team in Torrance, CA, as a Behavioral Health ER Registered Nurse for an 8 week day shift contract in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric and medical assessments
Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation
Administer medications and monitor patient safety
Coordinate evaluations and treatment plans
Facilitate inpatient psychiatric placements
Patient Care
Suicidal/homicidal ideation
Acute psychosis and mood disorders
Substance-induced conditions
Behavioral health emergencies
Requirements
Active CA RN License
AHA BLS, NIHSS, MAB/CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card
2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
Cerner documentation experience preferred
COVID vaccination and booster if eligible
Additional Info
No on-call
PPE provided
On-site parking
