Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Medical Lab Scientist for a Travel assignment in Taylorsville, UT. This role involves contributing to the effective operation of the ER lab at a Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) setting. The Medical Lab Scientist will play a critical role in supporting FSED operations through efficient testing and occasional clerical tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities of the Medical Lab Scientist

• Perform daily maintenance, quality control, calibrations on analyzers, and patient testing.
• Handle specimen processing, including test ordering, specimen centrifuging, and preparing for transport.
• Perform waived and non-waived tests efficiently.
• Maintain lab supplies and ensure routine cleaning of lab surfaces.
• Able to work independently while communicating effectively with clinical staff.

Requirements of the Medical Lab Scientist

• Certified MLS through ASCP or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital laboratory environment as an MLT or MLS.
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC, is preferred.
• Familiarity with analyzers such as Siemens Dimension EXL and others listed.
• Must have full MLS license, not an associate's degree.
