Adjunct Instructor

Compensation: $40.00 - $75.00 per hr, based on skills and experience.

The Physical Therapy Department in the College of Health Professions welcome applications for a part-time adjunct instructor.

• Promote the mission and goals of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, the College of Health Professions, and the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program
• Teaching in areas associated with the individual's expertise
• Participate in a team-teaching environment, collaborating with other faculty members to develop and deliver course instruction and student assessment activities.
• Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that respects and values the diversity of students.
• Participate in creation, implementation, and evaluation of DPT program curriculum
• Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students

• Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check.

* Up-to-date knowledge of current trends and advancements in the field of physical therapy relative to area of expertise.

* Experience adapting instructional materials and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior experience in physical therapist education or other higher education with knowledge of effective classroom teaching strategies

* Expertise or teaching experience in neurological rehabilitation and/or physiology is especially desirable

* American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties board certification or other advanced certification in areas associated with the individual's expertise.
