The main responsibility of the Receiver is oversee and execute daily deliveries and transfers for the store. In addition, the Receiver will maintain consistent communication with store vendors and Support Center to ensure accuracy with orders and deliveries.Our Values:Service: We will treat every customer like a beloved family member or friend and find a way to say "yes" to our customers. We will be quick to respond to our customers and use "Red Truck Service" when additional assistance is needed.Work ExperienceDuties/Responsibilities:Serve customers throughout the store while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their businessCheck in daily store deliveries; verify the order and confirm all the items are accurate and undamagedAssist with unloading and separating daily deliveriesMaintain consistent and professional communication with vendors and the Support CenterReview invoices to ensure accuracy; report any discrepancies and send invoices to the Financial Department at the Home OfficeGather orders for other locations to be transferred via the Transfer TruckMaintain daily reports such as supply ordering logs and invoice trackerAssist with cleaning and maintain back room, coolers and back stockAssist with the training and mentoring of new ReceiversMaintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and proceduresAssist with all other store duties as neededQualifications:Must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of store equipmentPrior experience in a grocery setting is preferredProficient computer skills, including data entry and spreadsheetsStrong attention to detailEagerness to interact with customersStrong sense of team – ability to anticipate the needs of the teamAbility to work at a fast paced and efficient mannerAbility to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervisionExcellent time management, prioritization and organization skillsStrong computer skills, working knowledge in Microsoft Office product suite and Google ProductsAbility to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 pounds
