Tech - Surgical

Job Summary: Assists the surgical team in the preparation and support of operative procedures within the operating room. Ensures a sterile environment, manages supplies, and passes instruments to surgeons to facilitate smooth surgical workflows.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare for surgical cases by verifying and assembling all necessary supplies and equipment.
  
  
• 
  Maintain a sterile field throughout procedures while ensuring aseptic techniques are followed.
  
  
• 
  Pass instruments, supplies, and medications to the surgical team during procedures accurately and efficiently.
  
  
• 
  Perform housekeeping and equipment sterilization duties to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Transport patients to and from the operating room according to scheduled priorities.
  
  
• 
  Complete instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts in collaboration with registered nurses per standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a High School diploma or GED; Associates or Technical Degree preferred.
  
  
• 
  Possess a Certified Surgery Technician (CST) or Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) certification.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current BLS certification; active surgical technologist certification preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate minimum two years of recent operating room or surgical technician experience.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and aseptic technique.
