This role involves academic, emotional and social support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Responsibilities Support students at risk of disengagement from learning Work 1:1 and in small groups to raise motivation and confidence Help students develop social skills, resilience and self‑esteem Monitor progress and liaise with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams Act as a trusted adult, encouraging positive behaviour and attitudes toward learning Provide additional support to students with SEND or SEMH needs when required Qualifications A positive, empathetic and patient personality Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff Confidence to work independently and manage challenging behaviour Desirable: experience in education, youth work, coaching, support work or mental health settings – full training available Desirable: Level 3 or above in first aid, mental health first aid or equivalent Benefits A dedicated consultant to match you with the right school Free training and CPD throughout the year Experience in supportive and inclusive school environments Opportunities for career progression and permanent roles Daily rate of pay: £89.66* (potential to earn more based on experience) Holiday pay included EEO Statement We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
