Junior Safety and Occupational Health Analyst

Junior Safety and Occupational Health Analyst APT Research is hiring a Junior Safety and Occupational Health Analyst in Huntsville, AL to support MDA on our MAPSS Safety contract. Requirements: Experience in job hazard, risk assessment and other analytical techniques sufficient to identify and evaluate program areas involving high risk, new or revised operations, hazardous materials, and other adverse conditions. Experience in accident and mishap investigation and reporting requirements and techniques. Experience in construction standards, practices, techniques, materials, equipment, and utility systems sufficient to determine compliance with building safety standards, and ability to develop effective controls of work and equipment hazards resulting from new construction or modification of current facilities. Experience in the basic concepts, methods, and techniques used by environmentalist, industrial hygienists, safety engineers, fire prevention specialists, and personnel in other safety and occupational health specialty areas. Experience in the standards, methods, practices, and techniques applicable to industrial processes and operations. Experience applying environmental principles, practices, procedures and laws pertinent to hazardous chemicals and toxic waste. Skill in oral and written communications to prepare, present, explain and defend technical reports, briefings or technical material.
