Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Atlantis, FL

Contract Length: 5 Weeks

Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week)

We're seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse for an exciting 5-week travel assignment in South Florida. Join a collaborative cardiovascular team that performs advanced cardiac and electrophysiology procedures in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

This position is ideal for an RN who is confident working independently, thrives in procedural nursing, and has experience supporting both Cath Lab and EP Lab cases.

Position Highlights

• 5-week travel assignment
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Four 10-hour shifts each week
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 1:1 patient ratio
• State-of-the-art cardiovascular procedural environment
• Meditech electronic medical record system

Unit Overview

• 3 Cardiac Catheterization Labs
• 4 Electrophysiology Labs
• Collaborative multidisciplinary cardiovascular team
• High-acuity diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after cardiac and electrophysiology procedures.
• Prepare patients for invasive cardiovascular procedures while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor cardiac rhythm, hemodynamic status, and patient condition throughout procedures.
• Administer medications and procedural sedation according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Accurately document patient care using the Meditech EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and the cardiovascular team to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Respond quickly and effectively during emergency situations.

Procedures Performed

Experience with the following procedures is strongly preferred:

• Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterizations
• Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
• Watchman/Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO)
• Electrophysiology (EP) Studies
• Cardiac Ablations
• Pacemaker and ICD Device Implantations

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience required.
• Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience strongly preferred.
• Current  BLS Certification .
• Current  ACLS Certification .
• Current  PALS Certification .
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced procedural environment.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Call Requirements

• 8–12 call shifts per month
• Includes  two weekend call rotations (Saturday and Sunday) each month.
• Candidates must be willing to participate in the facility's call schedule.
