Schedule: Day Shift; 6:30 AM 7:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ED) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Utica, New York. The RN will provide emergency nursing care to newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients presenting with a wide range of high-acuity conditions, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.

• Recognize and respond rapidly to critical conditions including stroke, sepsis, trauma, cardiac emergencies, and respiratory failure.

• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions while monitoring patient response and changes in clinical condition.

• Provide care to all assigned Emergency Department patients, including SANE-related patients, within demonstrated competency and scope of practice.

• Maintain accurate Epic documentation and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams while floating to qualified patient care areas as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Emergency Department RN Experience Required, Including Pediatric Emergency Care Experience.

• Previous Travel Nursing Experience Required.

• Current, Active New York Registered Nurse License Required.

• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC Certifications Required; TNCC Must Be Current at Submission.

• Epic Experience Required; Ability to Float as Needed Required; Charge Nurse Experience or Capability Highly Preferred.
