Sr. BA - LIMS

Job Opportunity

Visa: USC, GC, GC-EAD, and H4EAD

Location: The work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (looking for local if not candidate should relocate within the first month)

Target Start Date: October 10 or October 17

Length of Contract Assignment: 6-month contract to hire

Work Schedule/Typical Work Week/Daily Start and End Time: 9-5pm. Preferred: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote (first month remote if candidate is ready to relocate)

Client Description: Medium sized Biotechnology company that focuses on Cell & Gene Therapies. Focus is in a niche and emerging market. IT Org- team oriented, great people that have each other's back.

Project Description: Our client is in the process of evaluating their current LIMS system and how it affects the business. The LIMS software now is StarLIMS, but it is an outdated version and doesn't meet the current business needs. They need someone to own the requirement gathering with all business owners (lab testing operations, IT, quality, and manufacturing), while partnering with the Associate Director and another BA on whether to upgrade StarLIMS to a new version, move to LabVantage (currently own 10 licenses) or implement a completely different LIMS software. The biggest gaps right now with the current state of StarLIMS is ELN and batch record automation. You will be the lead BA on this project and eventually be the system owner once implementation is complete. You will also be part of other implementations and custom applications.

Technology Environment the Consultant Will Be Working In: StarLIMS and LabVantage

Consultants Day to Day Responsibilities: Our client needs an experienced Business Analysts who has implemented a LIMs system (preferably StarLIMS or LabVantage). You will be tasked daily with:

• Partner with Director on identifying, modeling, and implementing business system processes to align with new LIMS software
• Providing technical support/analysis on business applications (LIMS, MS SQL reports, Crystal reports)
• Gather, validate, and document business requirements from end users on desired process changes/system features
• Assist with creation of test plans and test cases, work on UAT to ensure the software implementation meets the needs of end users
• Work with training staff to create appropriate training materials

Required Skills: Biotech/Pharma experience, prior experience leading a LIMS implementation or upgrade (driving the project from inception to go-live, understand the business operations and how it can/will align with new software system, working with lab testing operations and/or QC), must be vaccinated

Desired Skills: Process Manufacturing experience using SAP Business One (logistics system), evaluating and selecting a LIMS software
