Senior CNC Machinist - Mill & Lathe

Candidate Source is working with a custom manufacturing company in Chesterfield, VA that is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist . You'll set up, program, and run CNC mills and lathes on precision, high-mix work, and you'll use manual equipment when the job calls for it. This role is a great fit for a seasoned machinist who likes variety and can own a job from setup to final inspection.

Shift/Hours

• 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday

• Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Off Friday/Saturday/Sunday - 3 Day Weekend

Job Duties:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes (Haas preferred) to produce precision parts

• Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-code

• Select tooling and fixtures and make offsets and adjustments

• Run manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and saws as needed

• Inspect parts with micrometers and calipers and complete quality records

• Perform preventive maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized (5S)

Job Requirements:

• 10+ years of CNC machining experience on both mills and lathes

• Proficient in G-code programming and editing

• Experience with Haas machines and Fanuc controls

• Strong manual machining skills

• Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T

• Able to manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

• Prototype, custom, or low-volume/high-mix experience preferred

• Able to stand for a 10-hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs
