Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) travel position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with a minimum of 1-2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical ICU (MICU) of an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
• Floating required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1-2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care for ICU patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes
• Conduct discharge planning and patient/family education regarding illness and injury prevention
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing
• Navy scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
