At MDBS our number one goal is to demonstrate a love for food and a passion for people while creating an excellent customer service experience for our well-deserving military customers!This is Not a government job- Everyone welcome!Hours of Operation:Sunday10:30 AM- 6:00 PMMonday9:30 AM- 2:00 PMTuesday8:30 AM- 7:00 PMWednesday8:30 AM- 7:00 PMThursday8:30 AM- 7:00 PMFriday8:30 AM- 7:00 PMSaturday8:30 AM- 7:00 PMJob Description:Assist Deli/Bakery Manager in providing leadership in the department by directing and managing 5-10 employees.Maintain high levels of customer service, while meeting commissary requirements and maximizing profits.Oversee and enforce Food Safety and Sanitation policies and procedures.Help to manage inventories by tracking weekly reports and ordering raw materials and supplies.Assists in scheduling and training employees and delegating work assignments.Prepare, maintain, and track records concerning inventories and work processes to calculate monthly profit according to Company policy.Maintain a safe and clean environment to ensure health and safety requirements are met.Develop and maintain professional communication with commissary management, which helps to meet the financial objectives of the store.Monitor customer satisfaction to identify areas needing improvement and assist in developing processes and/or procedures to address those issues.Maintain accurate department records to ensure documentation of activities is available.Monitor employee morale and promote a positive teamwork environment.Perform duties of staff as required in this hands-on position.Qualifications:2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experiencePrevious shift lead/management experience mandatoryAbility to stand and walk short distances for an entire shiftAbility to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodationOpen availability, must be able to work some weekends and closing shiftsMust be willing to work in a fast-paced environmentMust have a valid Food Safety Management Certification or be able to obtain one within 30 days from the hire dateBenefits:Great PayPaid Time Off: 2 weeks’ paid vacation after 1 yearSick Pay available for use in your first yearHoliday Pay- 10+ paid Holidays per year, eligible at time of hire401k PlanExcellent Health Insurance Plan to include PPO Medical, Dental, Vision, prescriptions, and Employee Life and Disability coverage.Growth Opportunities:If you are interested in career growth, here at MDBS we have a long history of promoting from within.
