About the Role

The Server provides exceptional quality and service to Seasons Restaurant guests. In this role, you will be tasked with providing an expertly served beverage or dining experience; anticipating the guests' needs and as an expert on the menu options; and delivering memorable guest experiences.

What You Will Do

• Anticipate and service of guests' requirements before requests are necessary.
• Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner.
• Be familiar with the wine list and in wine and beverage service including stemware used and appropriate garnishes.
• Utilize a "Captain's Pad" correctly and for the sake of communication.
• Complete opening and closing side work as assigned and have all tables set according to standard.
• Present menus (including children's menus) and explanations for all menu items as well as specials of the day.
• Offer a cheese and fruit tray explaining each of the various selections for the day.
• Utilize the Residence Club's computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks and completing closing readings.
• Carry trays, bus and reset tables with linen, china, glass and silver.
• Ascertain a guest's satisfaction and handle any problem which may arise informing a manager of the problem and how it was resolved.
• Handle a guest walk out.
• Respond properly in any Residence Club emergency or safety situation.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Residence Club management and staff.

What You Bring

• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
• 1-2 years food and beverage serving and/or related food and beverage experience
• Excellent knowledge of food, preparation, and wines.
• San Diego County Food Handlers card (not required upon hire).
• RBS certification
