Production Superintendent - Kankakee, IL

We are seeking an experienced Production Superintendent to lead ink manufacturing operations at our Kankakee facility. This role is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while ensuring high product quality and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who can develop teams, optimize processes, and consistently meet customer and business expectations.

What You'll Do

• Lead all production operations and equipment related to ink manufacturing.
• Champion a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Plan, schedule, and execute production activities to meet demand in a cost-effective manner.
• Identify and resolve operational, process, and facility issues to improve efficiency and quality.
• Manage manufacturing spend against budget and adjust resources based on production volume.
• Directly lead and develop a team of supervisors and production employees (3 direct reports; one per shift).
• Address employee relations, training, performance management, and workforce planning needs.
• Investigate customer issues from an operational perspective and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with internal teams and NACS to resolve issues affecting end-use customers.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; batch manufacturing preferred.
• Proven leadership experience managing supervisors and production teams.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and control costs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.

Production Superintendent $100,000-$125,000
