System Engineer - Softtware Configuration Management Senior

Description We are Lockheed Martin. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Agile and Dev/Sec/Ops methodologies and tools, such as Subversion, Confluence, Jira, Git, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, and TeamCenter PDM. The candidate will interface with cross‑functional leads, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve program objectives in accordance with the program schedule. The candidate must be a self‑starter, capable of effectively managing multiple tasks, and have strong computer skills, with the ability to work well in a teaming environment. The candidate will frequently interface with internal company and external contacts as required. In addition, the candidate will be proficient in Basis of Estimates (BOEs). The candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain SCM standards and policies via planning, identification, change management, status accounting, verification, and audits; to ensure the program meets customer requirements and is implemented and audited in compliance with CM policies, ISO 9001, and Commercial standards EIA‑649. Conduct software build audits and automation. Manage SCM change boards and hardware configuration management activities; analyze proposed hardware and software changes to determine their effect on the overall product and system, track change authorization, and prepare reports on the impact of changes. Coordinate change requests and TeamCenter Program Data Management (PDM) activities. Participate in deployment readiness, initial readiness, and peer reviews. Perform SCM program metrics; SW license tracking; Security Patch Management; Distributed Tracking Records and Workarounds. Develop and maintain SCM tools to support planning, identification, control, reporting, and delivery of internally developed and externally purchased commercial‑off‑the‑shelf (COTS) software products. Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database, and scripting languages to improve SCM modeling and development. Create and implement build procedures to support software product development and use. Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and software CM quality standards. Maintain the SCM system, including collecting and distributing code documentation, processing problem reports and change requests, and delivering software products to operational environments. Implement long‑term organizational objectives for software process improvement. Prepare, author, and train teammates in Basis of Estimates (BOEs). Perform Functional Configuration Audits/Physical Configuration Audits (FCAs/PCAs). Proficient in data (PD‑16) markings, formatting, and handling of documentation. Qualifications Strong Software Configuration Management principles to lead the program in CM processes and interface across cross‑functional leads, engineers, and other stakeholders. Experience in Agile and Dev/Sec/Ops methodologies and tools, such as Subversion, Jenkins, TeamCenter PDM, Git, GitLab, and Atlassian tools: Confluence and Jira. Self‑starter, capable of effectively managing multiple tasks, and possess strong computer skills with the ability to work well in a teaming environment. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
