SFO Area Sales Representative

Overview The Area Sales Representative oversees a geographical sales territory ensuring that independent and regional account business is developed, and budgeted sales and profit objectives are achieved. Job Summary Field based, high-activity hunter role with full ownership of a geographic territory. This position thrives on meeting prospects, visiting clients, and building relationships while driving territory strategy and representing a mission critical service in a fast‑paced market. Responsibilities Own and grow a defined territory through field prospecting, phone outreach, networking, referrals, and ongoing client engagement, including in‑person visits, calls, emails, and relationship‑building activities. Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from initial outreach through long‑term account expansion. Develop a deep understanding of client operations and logistics needs to effectively position Imperative’s solutions. Use data, tools, and market insights to strategically plan daily activities and maximize territory performance. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support and long‑term success. Represent Imperative professionally and consistently with a customer‑first mindset in all interactions. Skills and Qualifications Strong communication skills with the ability to connect quickly and build professional relationships. High emotional intelligence with the ability to ask great questions and actively listen. Ability to collaborate across internal teams to support customer needs and ensure seamless service. Strong organization, time management, and follow‑through. CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is preferred but not required; training is available. Previous sales or customer‑facing experience is desired but not required; we’re committed to training motivated candidates. Resilience and a solution‑oriented mindset when navigating challenges or shifting priorities. Creative problem‑solving and strategic thinking to identify opportunities and drive business growth. Valid driver’s license within the state territory.
