RN Registered Nurse

Starr Regional Medical Center Registered Nurse (RN), Long Term Care Job Type: Full-Time | Nights (7pm - 7am) rotating weekends. Sign‑On Bonus: $20,000 available for qualified applicants. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Long Term Care, you will provide exceptional care to patients with compassion and dedication. How You'll Contribute Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ condition. Establish a plan of care addressing identified problems and involving the patient according to preferences. Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff during the assigned shift. Assist in determining staffing levels and assignments based on availability, abilities, census, patient acuity and flow. Provide direct patient care as needed. Float between staff to assist with problem solving. Takes patient assignments to meet staffing needs. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and related services and manage through established channels. Perform role‑specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers. Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision and in a stressful environment. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire; Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire or department transfer. Licenses: Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a Compact State RN with proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
