Stepdown Overflow Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Job Summary and Qualifications The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. The CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. What you will do in this role Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care. Assist with admission and discharge processes. Partner with subject matter experts and the leadership team to support improved outcomes and service. Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement. Assist with staff scheduling. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion of a BSN within 5 years of hire date. Grandfathering is accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt. Preferred Education: Master’s in Nursing. Required License/Certification: Must hold current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. The eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensee should confirm with NC BOC. Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider.
