02204A - Sanitation Worker

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of our facility. This position is responsible for performing routine cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, and ensuring all assigned areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, common areas, and production or warehouse areas as assigned. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas. Replenish restroom and facility supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Clean windows, doors, walls, fixtures, and other surfaces as needed. Maintain cleanliness of employee lunchrooms, locker rooms, and shared spaces. Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals and equipment. Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to management. Maintain cleaning tools, equipment, and janitorial supply storage areas. Follow company safety policies, sanitation procedures, and OSHA guidelines. Assist with special cleaning projects and other facility maintenance tasks as assigned. Complete daily cleaning checklists and maintain accurate cleaning records when required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred. Ability to work independently and manage assigned cleaning responsibilities. Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation procedures. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when necessary. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the work shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and mops. Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks. Ability to work around cleaning chemicals while following required safety precautions. Work Environment Work is performed in an office, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution facility.
