Project Specialist (IVC- CalFresh Grant)
South Orange County Community College District
The CalFresh Project Specialist will be responsible for providing CalFresh campus outreach, application support, and enrollment activities for the purpose of increasing student enrollment in the CalFresh program. This position will play a pivotal role in reducing food insecurities for students by collaborating in the planning of dynamic programs and events, and being a driving force in fostering a thriving student community. This person will work within the Basic Needs Program, this program provides support, community building, and access to resources for students encountering food and housing insecurities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of :
Familiarity with issues related to food insecurity, housing instability, and student basic needs.
Standard office software and data entry tools.
Ability to :
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and work effectively with students from diverse populations.
Lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks related to inventory and distribution.
Report to work on a regular and consistent basis, as scheduled, to the assigned job.
Attend and participate in all scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
