We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Permit Technician to oversee and manage the permitting process for Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical projects across multiple jurisdictions.

This role is critical to ensuring projects move efficiently from sale to completion by maintaining accurate permit tracking, navigating local municipality requirements, and creating streamlined processes that directly support revenue growth. The ideal candidate understands the importance of speed, accuracy, customer communication, and operational excellence in the trades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full permitting process for Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical projects from submission through approval and closeout
• Maintain knowledge of local municipalities, county, and state permitting requirements, codes, and procedures
• Submit permit applications, revisions, inspections, and related documentation accurately and efficiently
• Track permit statuses daily to prevent delays and keep projects moving forward
• Communicate proactively with municipalities, inspectors, internal teams, and clients regarding permit timelines and requirements
• Develop and improve permit tracking systems and internal processes to maximize efficiency and revenue flow
• Identify and resolve permitting issues quickly to minimize project interruptions
• Deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication, professionalism, and timely updates

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with permitting in Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, or related construction trades
• Strong understanding of local municipality permitting requirements and inspection processes
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple permits/projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience working with permit portals, municipal systems, and trade documentation
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement and efficiency
