Mobile Service Technician
Flexible Hours | Competitive Pay | Hands-On Role
Are you a skilled diesel or trailer technician who thrives on problem-solving and working hands-on? We’re looking for a Mobile Service Technician to perform on-site tractor and trailer repairs, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and technical replacements. You’ll make decisions, solve problems, and keep equipment moving safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do- Diagnose and repair tractor and trailer issues on-site
- Perform preventative maintenance and annual inspections
- Conduct safety checks and complete DOT and company-required documents
- Complete repair orders, inventory forms, PM schedules, and repair forecasts
- Use technical manuals, service bulletins, diagrams, and diagnostic software
- Work independently while supporting the team in a fast-paced environment
- Handle electrical systems, batteries, tires, brakes, steering, suspension, and trailer components
- Minimum 2 years industry experience as a diesel or trailer technician
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in 24 months, no reckless driving suspensions in 5 years)
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to make independent decisions and prioritize work
- Own tools required
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Mechanics, Welding, Construction, or related field preferred
- Able to lift 10–50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Stand, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, and balance for extended periods
- Work outside in varying weather conditions
- Operate hand and power tools, machinery, and vehicles safely
- Wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and personal protective gear
