This role provides the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing our counselors to engage with clients effectively while maintaining a work-life balance. While the majority of sessions are conducted online, there may also be opportunities to collaborate with team members in our outpatient office when necessary. Our digital platforms ensure that counselors can readily access resources and communicate with clients seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct in-depth mental health evaluations through both initial and ongoing assessments, documenting each client’s journey accurately from intake to discharge.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, which may include individual, couple, and group therapy modalities.
  • \n
  • Facilitate engaging therapy sessions focusing on cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, and other therapeutic frameworks to support client growth.

  • Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on emerging needs and response to therapy.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and adherence to intervention protocols.

  • Provide follow-ups for clients who may require additional support via hospitalization, liaising with psychiatrists and attending physicians for coordinated care.
  • \n
  • Identify and counteract barriers to successful recovery while implementing preventative strategies for clients’ wellbeing.

  • Support family members and caregivers by providing educational resources and guidance on managing mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse clientele showcasing a spectrum of mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to more complex conditions such as PTSD and mood disorders. Consulting with individuals, couples, and families allows you to employ a holistic method of care, ensuring that the varying needs of clients are met with precision and compassion.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington.
  • \n
  • A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Preferred Experience\n

  • Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with familiarity in various therapeutic interventions.
  • \n
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR, for efficient client documentation and record-keeping.
  • \n
  • Hands-on experience with underlying physical health conditions and substance use disorders is highly desirable.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and an understanding of prescribed drug effects.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
