About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: South Carolina License preferred, pending applications accepted Certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA Must-Have: - Level 1 Trauma experience - Sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap experience - Experience with Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, GYN cases Description: The Sterile Processing Tech will work three 12-hour shifts per week. Shifts will be from 07:00 to 19:30 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with holiday rotation. This role may require floating between facilities to meet operational needs. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and Level 1 Trauma experience is required. Experience in sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping is essential. Preferred case experience includes Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedic, transplant, and GYN. National certifications such as CBSPD and/or HSPA are required. BLS certification is not required. Travelers must be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Candidates should ensure their availability throughout hurricane season, which runs from June through November. All requests for time off must be provided when submitting an application. No time off requests will be accepted after the contract is signed. The facility reserves the right to call off one shift every two weeks. Local candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Previous staff must be separated from the system for one year before returning as travelers. All labs and compliance requirements must be completed prior to the start date.
