Job Title: Environmental Service Worker Job Description

Under close supervision with detailed instructions, the Environmental Service Worker is responsible for maintaining building, ground, and office areas in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. This role involves performing a combination of routine duties including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and polishing.

• Clean assigned areas according to established standards.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum offices, hallways, and entrances.
• Polish furniture, fixtures, or trimmings.
• Report items needing repair and hazardous conditions requiring correction to a supervisor.
• Follow established antiseptic techniques and use appropriate solutions to clean and wash fixtures and restrooms.
• Gather and dispose of trash and wash waste containers.
• Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
• Clean carpets if required.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

• At least 6 months of janitorial experience in a commercial space.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and solutions.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license as may be required to drive a golf cart or company vehicle to travel to different buildings within the campus.
• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

• Experience in commercial janitorial services is essential.

The candidate will be reporting to the Poway facilities. The work schedule is the 1st shift from 4 am to 1:30 pm with no overtime expected, following a 9/80 schedule. The work environment includes using various cleaning equipment and requires adherence to safety protocols.

This is a Contract position based out of Poway, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
