Architect

You will serve as an Architect in the Planning, Design and Construction (PDC) Branch, Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC) Newport, of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing design drawings and specifications for new facilities or repair, restoration, and alteration of existing facilities using advanced architectural software such as AutoCAD and/or Specs-In-Tact Participating in on-site analysis to collect data and develop scope for construction projects Coordinating the architectural design with engineering disciplines to ensure compatibility and efficiency of the site and building design Investigating architectural issues and concerns to recommend options for remediation or corrective measures Note: Experience must clearly be documented in your resume.
