Chicago | 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our global finance team and play a key role in supporting accounting operations across multiple international entities, including the U.S., UK, and France.

This is more than a traditional month-end close role. You’ll have the opportunity to own complex accounting responsibilities, partner with teams across the business, improve and automate processes, and contribute to high-impact initiatives such as M&A integrations and system implementations. As the business continues to scale, you’ll have meaningful exposure to global accounting, US GAAP, audit, technology, automation, and process transformation—making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their skill set and grow into a larger accounting leadership role.

Qualifications:

• Prepare complex journal entries and support the timely completion of month-end close.
• Perform and review account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and US GAAP.
• Analyze actual results against prior periods and provide clear, actionable variance commentary to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve the close process, eliminate inefficiencies, and reduce manual work.
• Leverage technology including Power Automate, Power BI, AI tools, and other automation solutions to streamline accounting processes.
• Support the consolidated U.S. audit as well as statutory audits for UK and French entities.
• Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, coordinating requests and ensuring timely resolution of questions.
• Partner with local accounting firms to manage statutory requirements, filings, and deadlines across multiple jurisdictions.
• Help ensure consistency and accuracy in accounting practices across the global entity structure.
• Evaluate existing accounting workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and controls.
• Help implement automation and technology solutions that reduce repetitive accounting work.
• Support the evaluation and implementation of close management platforms such as FloQast.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation to create scalable, repeatable accounting processes.
• Help build an accounting environment where knowledge and processes are embedded in systems not dependent on individuals.
• Support accounting integration activities related to acquisitions and new business lines.
• Participate in system implementations, process redesigns, and other finance transformation initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accounting considerations are addressed as the business evolves.
• Take on special projects that provide exposure beyond traditional accounting responsibilities.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, HR, and other business leaders to support accurate internal and external reporting.
• Collaborate with international accounting teams to drive consistency in accounting treatment and processes.
• Serve as a trusted accounting resource and business partner across the organization.

Required

• Big 4 experience, or a combination of Big 4 and industry experience.
• CPA certification.
• Experience within a publicly traded company or public accounting environment.
• Experience working in a high-growth technology or financial services organization.
• M&A integration or post-acquisition accounting experience.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Exposure to automation, BI tools, AI, or accounting technology.
• Progressive accounting experience within a global or national accounting, professional services, consulting, or corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, accountable mindset and genuine interest in improving how things are done.
