Haul Truck Driver

The Haul Truck Driver is primarily responsible for safely hauling and dumping aggregate materials to designated areas throughout the quarry. The Haul Truck Driver will drive a 40 and 100-ton off-road haul truck with a dump body over gravel haul roads. The Haul Truck Driver will perform a walk-around inspection at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure the truck is safe and running properly. The Haul Truck Driver will dump material in designated areas, such as dumps and the crusher hopper, to increase production and safety. The Haul Truck Driver will remove debris from haul road if necessary, to maintain maximum tire life. The Haul Truck Driver will clean the truck as needed for services and operations. The Haul Truck Driver will fuel the truck as required and at the end of each shift. The Haul Truck Driver will assist crusher operator in extraction of material from crusher if needed. The Haul Truck Driver will assist in general mine labor as assigned.

High attention to detail is required. Good work attendance is required. Good communication skills including the ability to understand and follow verbal and written direction and instructions is required. Learn a variety of work skills associated with maintenance and repair operations is required. Safely and efficiently use a variety of hand and power tools is required. Read, understand, and follow safety rules, regulations, and procedures is required. Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times is required. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required is required.

High School diploma or GED is required. Physically fit to perform the job functions, including sitting, standing, squat, bending, lifting, and walking for long durations is required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
