As a Facilities Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining the buildings, systems, and grounds that support our daily operations. From inspecting and repairing electrical and plumbing systems to tackling general building maintenance, your work ensures a safe, reliable, and well-functioning environment. If you take pride in hands-on work and enjoy making a visible impact every day, this role is built for you.Principal Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesConduct routine maintenance of building systems, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure i.e., painting, general carpentry, floor repairs, installing general office equipment, lighting. Develop preventative maintenance schedules.Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and building codes, identifying potential hazards.Diagnose issues with building systems and equipment, providing timely solutions to minimize down time.Respond to plant related emergencies, such as power outages, floods, and weather threats.Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.Collaborate with other departments to understand plant needs and address concerns promptly.Ensures a safe and clean environment for all associates.Works all required work schedules.Minimum Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED High School Diploma or GED and Equivalent Experience.3-5 Years Experience in related field.Maintains Perdue Farms QEW Certification.Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.Preferred Education and Experience2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.Physical Requirements and Environmental FactorsSitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead and/or at shoulder level, lifting (50 lbs.) and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day.Position requires occasional moving to other offices or buildings.Day travel to nearby locations is sometimes required.May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.Perdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
