Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and an in-depth review of medical histories
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by analyzing imaging studies and laboratory results
• Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical care plans
• Offer intraoperative support by preparing operating rooms, ensuring patient positioning, and effectively managing surgical instruments during procedures
• Provide outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, conducting wound care, planning discharges, and offering patient education

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical emphasis is highly preferred

Certifications

• Current unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
