Management Accountant

:

Position Summary:

Position is responsible for day-to-day accounting, cash management and assisting with the financial reporting of the company & its affiliates.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain books and records on a cash basis for management company and its affiliates
• Record monthly journal entries including revenue and expense allocations
• Monitor and record daily cash receipts and disbursements and prepare daily cash reports and all outgoing cash wires
• Promptly identify and resolve differences and communicating with counterparties
• Monitor monthly invoicing process to ensure expenses are appropriately allocated and billed to funds managed by the management company
• Prepare accurate and complete workpapers to support all aspects of financial reporting, information returns and tax returns
• Prepare income projections, cash flow projections, and other financial analyses for the management company and its affiliated companies
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of a management financial reporting package
• Assist in the maintenance and review of accounting records for principal( s) of the company
• Special projects, as necessary

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or comparable
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (public or private), with a good knowledge of debits and credits
• Expertise in Excel is a must
• Hedge fund/private equity experience a plus
• Partnership accounting experience a plus
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
• Superior communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Work independently and manage time to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
