About the Role As a Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Profit goals in the store by executing a plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience in the department and overall store. The Department Supervisor will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues. A Day in the Life Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities: Customer Sales & Profit Support the total OMNI customer experience ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines. Represent H&M positively during customer interactions. Identify commercial opportunities and work with the Department Manager to act on them. Ensure customer service is provided in all areas of the store and that your team has the ability to promote and sell products to customers. Promote the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in‑store sustainability initiatives. Ensure correct routines in fitting room and checkout, including transactions, returns, and exchanges. Handle all admin routines for people and operations correctly. Fashion & Trend Awareness Keep up‑to‑date with fashion scene, trends, tendencies, styles, brands, products, competitors and relevant influencers. Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge to customers. Team & Development Retain and share your knowledge and skills with the Store team. Collaborate, plan and work with the in‑store Visual Merchandiser team. Give and receive feedback with colleagues to learn, develop and support each other. Communicate daily and weekly meetings to inform, motivate and inspire. Ensure all procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed. Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution Secure a clean and tidy sales floor and back‑of‑house areas. Ensure high‑fashion quality, visual and commercial product presentation with good garment care. Maintain good stock levels and provide input on allocation to the Area team. Ensure the full garment cycle – from delivery to presentation – and fitting room routines meet internal standards and utilize all tools and technology provided. Maintain best practice for any in‑store OMNI services and tech services/tools. Maintain strong and consistent price perception throughout the store following global and local guidelines. Update BOH areas with key information, health & safety, and tidiness. Open and close the store daily. Qualifications Emerging leader who enjoys taking responsibility.
