Materials & Stores Supervisor I

Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Materials & Stores Supervisor II, Materials & Stores Supervisor I is responsible for preparing vendor  orders and all material handling duties to include receiving and storing materials, inventory of large volume of varied supplies in  the warehouse or designated storage areas, delivery, pick-up, processing and distribution of parcels, and goods to designated  areas of the institution. Verify quantity and quality of all goods received and issued. Complete all necessary receiving documents,  records and data entry. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

Clothing/Clothing Distribution

Equipment/Property

Food and Miscellaneous Deliveries

Receiving

Housekeeping

Personal Care

Maintenance Warehouse

Office Supplies/Stationery

Small Parcel Packages (UPS, GSO, FedEx, DHE, etc.)

All staff should be able to lift 50lbs. and are expected to operate and maintain proper certification for material handling  equipment and vehicles.

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
