- This role has a direct path to Manager in the next 2 years
- This role also involves ZERO travel!
- Be involved in new process improvement, implementation projects, and high-level work.
- The ideal candidate has 2+ years of public accounting experience OR internal audit experience with a public company
- They would prefer someone already at a Senior level
- SOX experience is a MUST
- An advanced degree or CPA is preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Assist in remediation of internal control gaps with the Finance team
- Act as intermediary between Accounting/Finance and Internal/External Auditors
- Identify process issues and make recommendations for improvement.
- Research practical accounting and financial reporting regulation as needed. Guarantee the content, scope and timing of audit procedures permit for effective and efficient audit of assigned sections
- Prepare intermittent audit, financial reporting, and special project reports and summaries for circulation to Audit Committee and management
- Evaluate operations and the control environment to recognize potential areas of improvement within multiple/various departments.
- Work on and conduct special SOX implementation projects as well as ad hoc projects as required
- Focus heavily on process improvement and management as well as work flow.
