Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor
Location: Akron, OH
Compensation: $90,000 - 120,000 + 10%
Job Type: Full Time

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of public accounting experience OR internal audit experience with a public company
They would prefer someone already at a Senior level
SOX experience is a MUST

An advanced degree or CPA is preferred
Ability to work in a team environment
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

What You'll Be Doing:

Assist in remediation of internal control gaps with the Finance team
Act as intermediary between Accounting/Finance and Internal/External Auditors
Identify process issues and make recommendations for improvement.
Research practical accounting and financial reporting regulation as needed. Guarantee the content, scope and timing of audit procedures permit for effective and efficient audit of assigned sections
Prepare intermittent audit, financial reporting, and special project reports and summaries for circulation to Audit Committee and management
Evaluate operations and the control environment to recognize potential areas of improvement within multiple/various departments.
Work on and conduct special SOX implementation projects as well as ad hoc projects as required
Focus heavily on process improvement and management as well as work flow.
