Pediatric Dental Practice | Fredericksburg, VA

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and friendly billing/accounts professional to join our pediatric dental practice on a part-time — approximately 8-10 hours per week- As needed basis. 

This is a great fit for someone who has experience in a dental office and would enjoy a flexible, low-hour position without the commitment of a full-time job.

What you’ll be doing:

• Reviewing patient accounts and outstanding balances.
• Following up on unpaid patient balances.
• Answering patient questions about billing and account balances.
• Reviewing EOBs and insurance payments to help patients understand what they owe.
• Researching account discrepancies and correcting issues when appropriate.
• Setting up or discussing payment arrangements.
• Documenting account notes and communication.
• Identifying accounts that may need additional follow-up or collections.
• Working with our practice administrator when an account needs additional attention.

What we’re looking for:

• Dental billing experience with understanding of insurances is a MUST.
• Experience with patient A/R in the past.
• Comfortable discussing balances and payments with patients.
• Organized and extremely detail-oriented.
• Professional, friendly, and patient when communicating with families. Good customer service. 
• Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned accounts.
• Comfortable learning/using practice-management software.
• Open Dental experience is a plus.

Position details:

• Fredericksburg, VA.
• Approximately 5-10 hours/week, as needed.
